A minute's silence

A minute's silence on honour of the Queen was observed by runners and volunteers at Charlton parkrun this morning. 161 runners finished today including quite a few children running with their parents (I was on finish token duty today).

Recent rain has enabled the grass to start growing again (there was even a bit of mud in places), so it's no longer the parched yellow park that it was a month ago.

After watching a bit of the Test Match on TV, I went for a run myself - a gentle 5k at MAF (maximum aerobic function) pace - and then Gus and I went down to Greenwich for a pad thai at Rosa's returning via the Old Brewery and The Enderby.
