Welcoming in the new season...

Today I put out a new Autumn selection of lights on the dining room mantlepiece, ready to to welcome the new season.  As the temperatures plummet and the rain continues to fall it's clearly just around the corner.
There were requests from the family to make the display more spooky but I'll hold off until October before I add my spooky lights!

In other news: yet again the BBC held off all normal scheduling of programmes in order to continue to pay tribute to our late Queen.  I confess that Mr MC and I watched a great number of them
