Early morning blip

Going to bed in the wee small hours, I noticed the bedroom was very bright (we don't close the curtains; no need).  I returned downstairs with my camera and captured the moon just above the trees.  There was also a VERY bright star? in the sky.  Perhaps it is the planet Venus.  I'm not knowledgeable about astronomy..  I can relax now I have my blip for the day.
