Cabaret
The Mahonia 'Cabaret' in the 'yard has lots of flowers this year, and its red-orange buds are starting to burst open into cheerful yellow flowers. In the container next to it, on the Mahonia 'Soft Caress' with the feathery leaves, buds are starting to form.
Another busy day. MrM spent almost all of it, until well-into the evening, working on his rather ill-timed project to improve the appearance of the bottom hallway. Meanwhile, I concentrated on cleaning and tidying in the kitchen. Also cleaned and rationalised the under-sink cupboard, ready for when the plumber can be persuaded to come and put in the new sink and tap.
Ventured out for a short while this afternoon for some essentials - porridge oats and marmalade - from the Good Life Shop!
We raised a glass this evening for MrM Senior, who succumbed to Covid a year ago today.
