BB should have been playing rugby in Edinburgh this morning, but the SRU has cancelled games at all levels. Instead he lay and dozed on the sofa all morning. Meanwhile TT was at church and I was doing the usual chores. I eventually dragged myself out for a run. It had brightened up and was a lovely morning and I really enjoyed it – all five and a half miles of it. Not too hot and only a gentle breeze to contend with.
After lunch we headed down the A1 and into the gloom, which was rather annoying as we had left brilliant sunshine at home. We were off to get some bits and pieces for BB’s forthcoming DofE expedition. Once we had made out purchases, we went for a wander around Berwick upon Tweed. It was grey and while I had been more than comfortable at home in a summer top, it was noticeably cooler in Berwick and I put on a couple of extra layers and was none too warm. We walked through the town down to the river and then around the walls. We picked up some pizzas on our way home, which made for an easy tea.
Later I watched Brooklyn on TV, but the boys didn’t join me!
A rare glimpse of BB, browsing in a fabulous bookshop in Berwick upon Tweed.
