Not market day

This is the view of Lichfield from exactly the opposite direction from my last week’s market day.

I’m just emerging from the ginnel by Lloyds Bank, from the car park that isn’t always full (a secret I share with friends).

It’s peaceful. And still has atmosphere.

Today was useful. I had a pile of membership cheques to bank and a couple of other errands to run.

I needed a battery for my car key so I called in to the main dealer. I’ve kept this car for much longer than I usually do. Not a virtue or an economy measure. I hadn’t a clue what to choose. I love my little car but it’s petrol and I want to be kind to the planet.

A glimmer of hope of a solution. The guy in the parts section, who has been wonderfully helpful over the years, had warned me off this company’s electric efforts. A few years have now passed and he’s enthusiastic about hybrid.

So there’s food for thought…….
