Oh Scotland!

Why did you have to do this on the last day of my holiday? The weather has been ace for the whole week but today it pulled out all the stops.

I took the train to Arbroath and rode down NCN 1 to Dundee. The wiser option would have been to look at the weather forecast see there was a headwind and do the opposite but Electric Eric was more than up to the challenge. 

The extra was nearly going to be my Blip for today but that would have given away my geeky passion for the magnificent Class 43 HSTs. I've grown up travelling on these fabulous things and have had many a train trip on them over the years. It was a wonderful surprise to be on one again from Stirling to Arbroath and even better that NCN 1 follows the line and you get to see them up close and personal thundering past.

All in all a wonderful end to the hols. Thanks Scotland for being ace!
