Checking the procession set-up on the Royal Mile
We opted for Holyrood as our walk first this morning so that we could see the set-up for this afternoon's procession with the Queen's hearse. At 7:30am you could have easily grabbed a good position for later in the day, as can be seen from my blip. We saw lots of police officers arrive for work, taking over from others who were finishing their night shift. We also had a chat with an events management steward who had been on duty overnight for 12 hours and feared that it would be some time before he would be released from his duties.
For most of the rest of the day, I have been preparing for the BBC at 100 symposium in Bradford, which runs from tomorrow until Thursday. Bruce and I will set off on the train south at 07:30 in the morning.
I also went for a run at lunchtime.
Exercise today: 2.6 mile run; walking (17,794 steps total).
