First day in the new job at the Charité. It's big, the place I work at with various campuses, finding my way around in the deep technical bowels of the buildings. Unsurprisingly a new bunch of paperwork needs to be sorted: application for digital signature, VPN and three different sets of keys. The computing kit I get to work with is well impressive: compute nodes with lots of memory and GPU all connected redundantly via 100Gb/s ethernet. Lots to learn. It will take a while to find my way around and know all the people. But everybody I have met so far is really nice. So, all very exciting.
