A trip to the jungle!

Last Monday my friend S took me on a trip to the desert, today she took me to the jungle, a very humid 25 degrees. Well, not the jungle but the RUH hospital in Bath for an appointment for Patient No1. S kindly agreed to take Patient No2 for a cuppa in the cafe (but it was shut) while I went off to the appointment.

On top of the trip to the hospital (the first of three visits this week), a crazy day sorting a myriad of medical issues for both patients. Our new king, and the rest of the royal family, have had an equally busy day. A morning visit to Westminster Hall for the king to make his first address as monarch to MPs and peers, then to Edinburgh for the Ceremony of the Keys at Holyrood Palace. This afternoon a service of reflection was held St Giles Cathedral after King Charles led a procession along the Royal Mile. Then this evening King Charles, along with Princess Anne and Princes Andrew and Edward, held a vigil by the side of the Queen's coffin which is now at rest in St Giles' Cathedral as mourners filed past, paying their respects. All very moving. (Events of the day recorded in extras.)
