Military farming

Back in work this morning didn't feel like I had been away oh wait i hadn't .
A few bits to sort out in the yard that didn't get finished. While in the yard a customer came into collect some pallets of cement and a bag of sand . He came in this interesting vehicle so got chatting to him and asked if he minded  me getting a photo of it , not a problem and then he told me a little bit about it.
They are famers so use it for moving haybales around along with other things . It is a 1970's Oshkush truck and was originally used by the American forces . He said its a very reliable truck and ideal for farm work .
An eventful evening as Julie sent me a text around lunchtime to say she was taking her Dad to A&E as the other day he had a fall and his hand was rather swollen , so after work I was on standby to pick them up  Julie finally rang at just after 7.00 so a drive over to Metheringham to take him home and for Julie to get him settled. once home a spot of tea and then helping grace sort out her car insurance for her new car she is getting . slightly harder when she is miles away and its her 1st insurance on her own 2 feet . got her sorted we hope £800 later but told her it will come down over the years so long as she drives carefully.  Relaxing now with some general TV viewing
