Never That Old - Surely

Breakfast with Mrs S and then Sam and I set off for Plymouth by train. Quite a good journey even though I left my Harlequins baseball cap on the train!!
Quick coffee on arrival, Tesco’s meal deal for lunch and we headed to the Slug & Lettuce to meet the family over a couple of beers.
Booked into the Crowne Plaza unpacked changed and downstairs to wait for the mini buses to take us over to Torpoint for the party.
Twenty-seven of the family along with Sarah’s friends and colleagues to celebrate her 50th birthday.
Wonderful evening spent amongst those we love.
Good to see the Stevens clan on form, at 10:15 everybody else had gone home but we held out until closing time at midnight.
Back to the hotel for a nightcap.
It’s been a long day.
Do I mind having a 50 year old daughter - Not at all, it means we have had each other for fifty years with the promise of many more to come.
