No life for a minnow

I don't think I've ever been quite so close to a Great white egret fishing as I was here.  I normally like to try to get the bird and its reflection in the shot, but I was actually struggling at times as it was nearly too close for the long lens that I was using.  

It was very overcast first thing, and the forecast was for rain this afternoon.  But the rather dull conditions first thing gave way to actual rain by 9am and its been drizzling or raining ever since.  The grass will be glad of it of course and is already starting to green up nicely.
