Another dismal day

There has not been an inch of sun today - just rain and drizzle, and humid.

This melianthus is growing in my front garden. There used to be grass there, but now this plant has covered the grass so I don’t need to cut it! It stays green in winter and is rarely affected by frost. In the photo on the left of the collage, at the top you can see a glimpse of my ginkgo tree.

One lady on the never-ending news today said the had ‘been round 7 times’ meaning she had filed through to see the coffin and gone round again, 7 times. I just don’t understand it. The media seem to have run out of old film so now they are encouraging people to come and queue, and then filling up their ‘news specials’ by interviewing the people who’ve been queuing - mainly asking them ‘how did you feel?’

The media are really overdoing it, in my opinion. I just want them to stop!

Isn’t it wonderful that Prince Andrew has found a new role in Royal life - looking after the Corgis!
