Rufus in his jacket

Rufus shoulder is very nearly healed but it's not quite there yet, and he's been wearing one of those coneshaped collars for ages. Today we took delivery of a medical grade jacket that is to stop cats scratching wounds because we hoped that would be better for him. It's meant to go round his backside, with just the necessary opening, but he objected to that in no uncertain terms. As it is, he is very grumpy, so I think that although it was kindly meant he may actually prefer the cone. But as the jacket is better positioned to stop scratching as well as licking, he might have to put up with it for a little while. 

Apart from that, I went for a ride over the woods and it was very pleasant in the gentle rain. I think gentle rain is my second favourite cycling weather, after full sun!

What with that, and a bit of piano practise and some towel washing, that was my day done.
