Not A Day For Al Fresco Dining, London

After weeks and weeks of no rain at all we've now had quite a few wet days and today was another one. The outdoor food court just off Kingly Street (which is weirdly appropriate this week) was, therefore, not doing brisk business. Everyone was either sitting inside or getting a takeaway.
For the first time in months the grass in our back garden is no longer the colour of sunburnt straw but has actually started to go green. Also, we have a large beech hedge which for some reason every bird in the local vicinity has decided to congregate in. This has never happened before and the amount of noise they generate really is quite something, especially early in the morning and early in the evening.
