"The loveliest spot"

View of Grasmere (Wordsworth's loveliest spot) from Loughrigg.  Great walk in sunshine, a picnic lunch, and I had a swim in the lake.  Then this evening I've been back to the Daffodil Hotel at Grasmere for 'An Evening with Simon Armitage', interesting and entertaining, and especially poignant since in his role as Poet Laureate his poem mourning the death of the Queen was published today.
