A different Banksia

Banksia Rose grows on a fence in my brother and sister-in-law’s house in Brisbane. Its botanical name is Rosa banksiae, named after  Lady Dorothea Banks, wife of botanist SirJoseph Banks. As always, lots of info on Wikipedia.

We’re in Brisbane for one night, then fly to Perth for another visit. Rana will work at the University of WA for 2 weeks - before that we’ll travel around the botanically-rich south-west for 10 days. I’ll do my best with blips, but may be limited by internet access.
