Must you?

Felix had the whole new-to-him house to himself this afternoon for a spell while Mom and Dave were off on an errand and W and I walked a bit. He arranged his mouse and pompom toys on the bed. 

The air is so lovely cool. The weather app says there's still a tinge of smoke, but I don't notice it. Two hikers who'd gotten trapped by the Bolt Creek Fire made it to safety today, obviously highly relieved. The smoke was too thick to get a rescue crew through, though they were able to speak to 911 and search&rescue by phone. They shot some harrowing video.

In college I had a geology prof who'd been up at Mt. St. Helens when it erupted. Talk about harrowing video...he ended up feeling his way down through the ash to his jeep. And ever after played that video for years of students!
