Meadow cutting

It is that time of year!  Today was the day for the meadow to be cut.  We have a tractor come in to do it and the garden team ensure all the edges are done. 

It looks rather short after and the cuttings will rot down in a few weeks.  It is shame we cannot pick up the cuttings but the cost to pick them up and dispose of them is just too high.  This does mean we do not get so many meadow flowers and the grass is long and strong.

All done for another year.
