The last fortnight on the water
The end of September is usually the time at which the yachts start to go to the boatyards to be laid up for the winter though some people keep them on their summer moorings well into October and occasionally for even longer even though the risk of damage from storms obviously increases.
There was low cloud this morning over the viewpoint on the road to Tighnabruiach but it was still possible to get this picture, which included the ferry (though still tied up at its overnight pontoon at 10.00 am which surprised me) and indeed the greyness was already lightening up over the Kyles.
