The remainder

This is my newest flower bed that did have a mass of wildflowers until the deer at them. I planted some short zinnias and then spread more wildflower seeds that I had left over. What you see are the wildflowers that came up and what the deer haven’t eaten. They don’t eat zinnias! So next year this will be a big zinnia bed. I plan to move the dahlias to the bed where I had the zinnias this year. Easier to water and the deer don’t come that close to the house.

A really cool morning in the 60s. Gypsy and I have been outside for over an hour not counting little shot potty breaks since 6am. She acts better and has actually gotten herself up a few times to move to other areas but it is a struggle. Mostly outside as I think the hard floor does not work as good for her to get her back legs in place as the grass does. She is so much more steady on her feet. She had a really long walk outside where she visited a few of her favorite spots where she looks for the bunnies. I guess I need to stop hovering over her so much. If only she would stay asleep all night. A week of middle of the night outdoor visits is really getting old. I am hoping that will stop once the uti clears up.
