Wide-on-Wednesday: The Natural Environment

This is one of the (several!) wild areas of our garden - it certainly shows what nature does when left to her own devices. (And the blackberries are very tasty!) I'm offering it (taken with my fisheye lens) for Steveng's Widwed challenge of the week.

It had to be another quick blip - we've been busy with the final emptying and cleaning of my Dad's flat. This morning we arranged for the local hospice, St Oswald's, to come and collect all his furniture - well all except the bed which wasn't quite good enough for them, and the video stand which is no longer in fashion (St Oswald's is one of Dad's favourite charities - he was a volunteer driver for them for several years after he retired).  Happily I was just able to fit the bed into my car so it went to the tip this afternoon - following which we did the final clean and Hoover.

Dad's getting weaker by the day but being kept peaceful and comfortable.
