Another few hours spent pottering around the allotment and admiring Angus’ plot which is much more productive than ours. Mind you, he said he’d been up watering almost every day over the summer! I did some weeding among the spuds but to be honest there were hardly any to weed. No watering = few weeds & few spuds. Gave the fruit bushes a bit of a haircut after consulting my trusty Allotment Handbook but again there wasn’t much new growth to prune and the older growth gets done later in the year.
Roasted a ton of veg tonight for our dinner though: spuds, turnip, kohl rabi, beetroot and courgettes all home grown. The chorizo sausages were shop bought.
