Still blossoming

The volunteer calendulas are still blooming and dropping hundreds of seeds all over the garden. Next year I will have to be more ruthless in picking them as they have sort of taken over the growing area.
I am enjoying these last free days of September. I have decided to return to the original school I worked at for a number of reasons. It seemed like it should be a very quick operation to get me back into the school, especially since they are so short staffed. They didn't have to interview me, they just had to reactivate my file. But it still seems to take forever. I did finally talk to the principal yesterday and now have to wait for the central office to email so I can get my paperwork done. I thought that would happen today but nothing. Maybe tomorrow.
I am enjoying having this time to get more gardening and reading done but there is an underlying anxiousness just to get on with it and just waiting for the phone to ring is exhausting. Just give me a few weeks and I will be pining for these days...
