Hamelin Bay Winery

We went on a drive today to the other side of the Blackwood River to East Augusta.  That’s the place you would live if you really wanted to live in a “remote community”.  Apparently you can walk there from West Augusta when the tide is very low.  We then headed over to the Hamelin Bay Winery which has been a family favourite for many years now.  They have always had a very good restaurant attached to the winery and it certainly didn’t disappoint today.  There Chardonnay is pretty good as well :).
