Just Hummin' Along

Female Ruby-throated at the feeder. I believe that the mature males have departed on their Fall migration. We've been seeing only females lately, except for one very small male. He's probably a first year who was born this season and might be waiting to migrate with the girls. Keeping in mind that I'm by no stretch of the imagination any kind of authority on these little beauties. I'm only reporting my observations. Wish they would stay all year.  I've heard tell of sightings of what is possibly a resident population. But not in our neighborhood! ;)
