On the Breakwater

We went into Brixham today. We'd booked a table at Rockfish for lunch for our wedding anniversary. The anniversary was actually yesterday but today was more convenient. We got in to Brixham early to have a walk before lunch and we started off by walking out on the breakwater. It's quite a long breakwater, about half a mile and it's a lovely walk out to the light at the end.

We walked back and were going to get a coffee when I looked at my phone and realised I'd booked our lunch reservation half an hour earlier than I'd thought so we had to press on to get there. We decided to only have the one course but on the way back to the car we decided to get an ice cream from the parlour along the  quayside. We had double cones and what a mess we made of ourselves with them. They started melting as soon as we got outside and trying to eat them before they dripped down our fronts was a challenge. That's a lesson learnt. Single cones in future and avoid the lemon meringue!
