walking on sunshine

I woke up at five am again! But I was tired so I stayed in bed. 
I played dress up. 
I went to meet other people playing dress up. 
I left early because I was nervous.
I had to drive in DC. I hate driving in DC.
My car LIED TO ME and took me to the wrong location. 
Google maps to the rescue!
I couldn't find a parking spot.
My parking "feature" didn't work - it almost never does. 
I was a touch late.
I was still smiling and beaming the whole time.
I'm going to Iceland!!

It is hard to concentrate when you are smiling and bouncing around. 

It was a lunch meeting and I didn't eat because I was wearing my mask and we were indoors but Iceland was the perfect, socially acceptable reason for continuing to wear it. Even when they took a picture Katya asked if I could take the mask off for the picture and then immediately reversed herself and said, "not now, you've got Iceland!"

This is what the back of our townhouses looks like right now. They filled in the area behind the wall with stones. They fixed the fence so it stands upright. I bought my neighbor some flowers. My other neighbor put up some flowers. You can see my birdbath. 

Lemon with your avocado toast. Oh yes. Thank you mambo. Oh yes. It is going to be even better tomorrow when I don't accidentally put too much salt in it  It tasted good even though I grabbed the wrong bottle and put pepper in it! Lemon juice, lemon zest, a little cayenne, less sea salt, and pine nuts. 

Tonight, mushroom onion spinach quesadilla. If I weren't going to Iceland with Kate, I would never have learned to cook this stuff. I'm so glad I'm going to Iceland, and going with Kate. 

Kyiv says it has recaptured more than 3,000 square miles! 

The US is imposing new sanctions on people and groups that have facilitated Russia's war in Ukraine. The Commerce Department is imposing export controls, the State Department is targeting Russia's defense and high-tech industries. The State Department is going after five people for stealing Ukraine's grain. 

I don't know what this means, but China has expressed concerns about Russia's invasion. 

There is going to be a movie made about Kostiantyn Kiastutisovych. He saved 200 civilians from Russia.


Ok, there are more articles about the UFOs over Ukraine - but they are all based on the same study. There is only one study and they didn't change their definition - UFO means unidentified. It is only in the US that UFO now officially means not made by humans.
