Springbok

Our welcoming committee. Bakkies the pig, and Zeus the dog, who is scared of Bakkies so found refuge in our car until Bakkies wandered off.

We have a great two-storey wooden chalet, on a working farm, with a multitude of animals, including a large heard of Springbok. The sunsets in this area never disappoint.

The road to Springbok from Paternoster is spectacular in places, with rugged mountains above lush fields. Vineyards have little canals providing water to the massive fields of vines. It is also quite barren in places but as we reached Namaqua, some of the areas were still covered in bright pink and yellow daisies.

South Africa really is a beautiful country.
