Nyhavn and harbour, København

Despite the tourist throng, Nyhavn and the surrounding canals and harbour front are beautiful.  A canal trip is a useful way to orientate for a longer walk afterwards.

We were impressed by the way new architecture is integrated seamlessly with the old in a distinctly Danish way. I’ve added some examples as extra photos for this day.
