Thursday is our Arthur day , I took him out to an outdoor play place called The Hive while Dave stayed home to sort the shattered glass .
Arthur played in the mud kitchen , he spent ages with a hosepipe pouring water into a muddy hole . In his imagination he was pouring concrete .
Thank you so much for all your kind comments re my dad . They are very much appreciated.
Having lived such a life of service there are many, many people who want to join with us to pay respect and say final goodbyes.
The six of us are working together to organise his send off , we are all very different in the way we process things but are working hard to allow one another the space to be ourselves and at the same time keep the arrangements moving . His deep love of God is threaded through all our dads actions and words . The six of us all stand in different places with regard to faith and spirituality but are united in our desire to prepare a funeral that encapsulates all that our dad stood for .
A life well lived .
