Edinburgh Garrets
Another beautiful sunny day in Edinburgh! I had a wander through the Marchmont area and returned through the Meadows. These tenement flats are at the corner of Warrender Park Road.
Most of the Marchmont area was developed in the 1870s and 1880s and these flats are in the Scots Baronial style of architecture. As was the practice at the time the street names came from the developer and his family. Sir George Warrender was the developer. His wife Helen was the daughter of the Earl of Marchmont.
