The home of Disraeli

We made a hasty decision this morning and went to Hughenden Manor, where Disraeli lived.  It’s a beautiful building which was bought by
Isaac D’Israeli, the father of Benjamin Disraeli who moved into the house in 1848 on the death of his father.  Both Disraeli and his wife, Mary Anne,
Lady Beaconsfield are buried in a vault in the churchyard of St Michael and All Angels Church which is situated downhill from the house.  Extra photos show the dining room and the grave.  The gardens are beautiful and we found a couple of deckchairs in the sun so we used them for a welcome rest.
