Flower Friday

Although it's mid September we still have a few buds on our roses, so I thought this one would be suitable for BikerBear's Flower Friday challenge (thanks Anni!).

If I can wax philosophical, a bud shows the prospect of new life. My Dad departed this life yesterday (thanks so much for all the lovely condolences) but we're expecting a new life in the family in a few months' time in the form of our first grandchild. We were so pleased to be able to share this news with my Dad while he was still with us - we were even able to show him an ultrasound scan of his next great grandchild (his 7th).
