Company on the couch

We’ve spent the last few days in K’s hometown, staying with her oldest friend. Said friend used to breed Bichon Frises and these are four of her five, retired breed stock. We had talked about heading this way in October to do some leaf-peeking and see old friends. We’re here much earlier than anticipated to attend the funeral of a very dear old friend. Heading homeward again tomorrow.
