REALISM RULES

An Abstract experiment is destined to fail in the face of resurgent realism based on the cult of personality. And what a personality is Peter Smith painter of this panoramic view of Kirkcaldy bowlers at what is known locally as 'The Big Green".
This canvas was unveiled on Opening Day this year ; each member illustrated is, I can assure, recognisable by those who know them, such is the skill of the artist!
Kirkcaldy Bowling club is fortunate to have a 'da Vinci' in Peter; retired Hospital Laboratory Scientist, painter, sculptor in wood, clock maker, photographer, possessing many other skills and even; not a bad bowler!
'And not a bad bowler!' is perhaps how this unassuming genius might wish to be known. We who know him however salute all his talents .
