Tegan & Sara
Warning - this blip may contain an excess of feelings. Click away now if you can't deal with my inner 15-year-old's excitement.
I went to see Tegan & Sara tonight with Phoebe, Stef and Julia and IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Yes, this is the third time I've seen them, and yes I've been a fan since I was like 15 or 16 but they are basically one of my all time forever favourite bands and I will never not be excited to see them. They're one of those bands I'll always buy tickets for. If they're still touring when they're 85, I will be there, wrinkles and all, to scream the words of The Con at them.
As expected, they were fabulous and wonderful. I love their new album so it was awesome to hear those songs live, and they played a LOT of old stuff, including everyone's favourite and my first T&S song, Living Room. One of the things I love most about them is that they talk a lot, which is awesome because they're really funny and Sara especially is awkwardly hilarious and I would genuinely like to have a coffee and a chat with them. I think we could be friends!
The rest of today doesn't measure up to this evening, but I did go for a long walk down to Dight's Falls because the weather was just stunning. It was one of those late autumn days where the sky is a clear blue and it's super warm and sunny but not too hot and the trees have started to change so everything looks golden and warm. Just perfect.
This photo was taken on my phone, so it's kind of terrible, but you can see Tegan (on the left) and Sara so hey, I'm calling that a win! I was going to take my little digital but it was out of battery (unsurprisingly!) so I had to make do.
