The Emperor of Floof!

One of the great joys of springtime is the baby animals, whose cuteness runs so rich and so deep that it can almost slay you. Right there. Drops you in your tracks. Another one dead from the cute. Such a sad ending, but what a way to go!

And is there anything cuter than a spring duckling whose floof is just out of control?! Of course you've heard that expression "like water off a duck." In this photo, a duckling demonstrates how duckling floof does a great job of repelling water.

What a gorgeous day it was. Sunny pathways, shady nooks, spring blooms, trees dressed in outrageous shades of green. And the ducklings, of course, whose theme song just might very well be this:

Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.
Just kicking down the cobble stones.
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy.

P.S. I don't know for sure, of course, but this little fuzzy fellow could possibly have been one of the three ducklings featured in last week's Lullaby for a Duckling blip. :-)
