Perth & Kinross Archives

This is the oldest document in the archives at the A K Bell Library in Perth who were hosting an open day today. It dates from 1172 or thereabouts.

The first extra is a C14 copy of Perth's original charter conferring city status.

The second extra is the modern 2012 one when Queen Elizabeth II (or I of Scotland) reinstated city status lost in 1975.
