Vagrant

I found this large vagrant spider in a stack of small plastic plant pots. How she got inside them I can’t imagine because she was much bigger than any gaps or drainage holes. Because she is a nocturnal hunter she was briefly stunned in the bright daylight and I was able to photograph and measure her before she made off to safety. She was 22mm from head to tail, one of the largest spiders I see around here.
