Almost sixteen

A really lovely day with lots of sunshine. After our day out yesterday it was nice to stay local - a little Waitrose shopping, some wanders along the promenade and plenty of sitting in the bright light sewing and reading. 

Extra - every day, no matter the weather, brings people down to the beach for swimming. Early morning is favourite for small groups to gather and swim and mess around in the water. But today I noticed four 'serious' swimmers - they swam along and then back so many times. You need a lot of stamina to do this, especially against the waves. 

This would have been my Blip and then . . . I caught this lovely shot of Alice when we took her out for a meal at the Waterfront restaurant just along from our apartment. She insisted on walking back along the beach in the dark, identifying stars and planets with her phone. What you do when you are almost sixteen!
