River Wey…

We’ve had a lovely day. Not the one we were expecting but that hasn’t mattered.

We drove to Shamley Green in Surrey after a very short visit to our friends’ lodge in Farley Green. From there we took a bus to Guildford and then walked to Dapdune Wharf for the annual boating pageant. This being cancelled, apparently after lots of indecision, we then had a wonderful walk along the River Wey. The river was very quiet today except for some houseboats navigating the Stoke Lock and a few paddle boarders. The weather has been perfect. We’ve walked a long way.

Very grateful for a quiet day and the opportunity to visit and enjoy some beautiful Surrey countryside.
