Why does the cat sleep in the middle of the circle

Yesterday I gave Misty the snake to play with that belonged originally to Maddy and Molly, but it got into a circle and she spent all day going and sitting or sleeping in it, even taking her little toys in it, WHY I ask myself, it's only a toy snake in a  circle on the carpet. She's been doing it today but not quite as much.

I had a fairly quiet day today after a nice long walk this morning. It was pleasant but a cool wind.

Kirsty has got a puppy a chocolate brown Springer Spaniel. I can see she is going to have her work cut out, she's never owned a dog of her own before. At least she will get some exercise taking it for a walk.
