South of the Bridge

This is a view of the Trent just before it enters the Humber estuary, taken from near Alkborough.
I haven't spent much time on the south bank so when OH had a training session in Winterton, the dogs and I took the opportunity to explore some of the surrounding countryside. We had a lovely couple of hours in glorious weather.
We visited Julian's Bower which, if you didn't know it dated back to the 12th century, would be remarkably unimpressive!!
