Berlin under steam
Fabulous day out visiting the Berliner Eisenbahnfest at Schöneheide in Berlin. The German approach to museum rail is very different. People could just wander around the area. Visitors are expected not to fall into the inspection pit. They had two locos under steam. One (50 3648) went up and down taking people for a ride in the cab. The other (52 8177) took a train with a number of carriages around Berlin. We did get the full autumn treatment with a sudden rain and hail shower. A couple of minutes later it was nice an sunny again.
