The Bane of American Tourists

Nothing of note happened today, so here is a photo from when we went to Dublin.

We wanted to go somewhere during the summer but didn't want to spend too much of our savings. So, we went for a day trip to Dublin!

After a 2.5 hour bus ride from Great Victoria Street we arrived in a somewhat overcast Dublin. It was my first time in the Republic! Seeing the differences compared to Belfast was a weird experience. Suddenly everything was in Euros.

We visited a museum for a couple of hours and noticed that many of the people there were American. Once we left, the weather was gloriously sunny so we headed off to a nearby park. Even there we heard more Americans than actual Irish people!

They really needed a sign that said "beware of the seagulls" because they were not afraid to steal your food. This fellow in the photo stole two ice creams from American tourists in quick succession. Maybe the Americans are less aware of the dangers of seagull muggings.

Hopefully we get to visit somewhere and actually stay for a night soon!
