Buchanan St. Art Deco
Currently with an HSBC at ground level, this Art Deco style building in Buchanan St. Was designed by Harry Wilson in 1929. Art Deco former Burton's building. Ionic pilasters flanking the centre bays, fluted at the base and neck, supporting chevroned frieze spanning across flanking bays. Narrow, outer bays to 3rd floor height, cut back to concave at 4th floor, with small window set in and lamp standards set on angle.
