Anna's Hummingbird

We've seen hundreds of these in the last few days - they even feed in the red=flowered eucalyptus in the trees lining the street outside our place in Pacific Grove. This female/juvenile settled on a branch near me after feeding at an echium in flower. They spend the winter on the west coast, despite the rain and wind.
