View from a Polling Station

This was the view as I exited the polling station.

It was the Derbyshire County Council elections today. Voters included one lady and one man and his dog just before me - I waited for the dog to exit the polling station before entering in case there was any trouble. The Canine Defence League was not on the ballot paper but everyone else was.

The dog sneaked into the photo (left).

This is Shire Hill, Glossop which has been nothing but bare trees trees for so long its been hard to believe it will ever been green again. Today there is just a few smudges of green appearing on some of the trees.
